Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Phoebe and the late Arthur David NELSON, 271 Stanmore Road, Stanmore, NSW

Harold served in France and was wounded at Ypres in September 1917 and invalided to hospital in England and discharged as medically unfit.  He then worked in a munitions factory in England.

There is some discrepency with his birthdate as his age at death on his CWGC headstone has aged 73 in 1948 - making his birthdate c1875
