During WW2, VX48659 Bauer served in the Middle East, New Guinea and Borneo.
He served throughout WW2, with units of the 7th Division AASC.
Allan Bauer was a member of the 2/7 Transport platoon, 7th Division AASC, when he signed the flag at Balikpapan, Borneo 12/8/1945.
