Husband of Henrietta (Ettie) E. McLean (nee Heath) and father of Daphne of Perth, Western Australia.
Sson of John and Harriet (nee Devereux) McLean who were married in Hamilton, Victoria on the 29th July 1878. John and Harriet had six children up to the time of John's death on March 6th 1890: Annie Lillian born 1878; Mary Haidlee b. 1880; Margaret Agnes b. 1882, John William b. 1884, all at Branxholme, Vic; Hector James Alexander b. 1886 and Francis George b. 1889, both at Stawell Vic.
On the 24th May 1890, Harriet Mclean married James Goodlet in Stawell, Victoria and the couple had three children in Victoria before moving to Western Australia between 1895 and 1898 where two more children were born: Emily Ettie born 1891; James Thomas b. 1893; Walter William b. 1895, all at Stawell, Vic; Lila May b. 1898 at Bellevue, WA and Daisy for whom few details are known.
