Peggy
Margaret "Peggy" Faust was born on 7 December, 1920 in Proserpine to Charles William Faust and Lillian Agnes Hallam. She attended St. Catherine's School before going on to St Ursula's College in Armidale, NSW. Peggy qualified as a Physiotherapist before enlisting in the AIF and was assigned to the 2/1 Australian Convalescent Depot. She attained the rank of Lieutenant and saw the sad passing of her brother Charles who was in the RAAF and was lost off Athens, Greece. After the War, Peggy returned to her profession.
Peggy did not marry. She spent time in various Brisbane Hospitals during her life, before retiring in the 1980's. She was living in St. Lucia, Brisbane when she died, on March 22, 2004. Peggy is buried in Proserpine Lawn Cemetery.
