Add my storyBiography contributed by Delphine Enkler
Daniel Delphin was born in Tasmania the third child of 17 children to Augustus Delphin.
He enlisted in Queensland, deployed to France were he was wounded in 1918.
After the war he returned to Tasmania and gained land thru the return soldiers benefit. He was unsuccessful at farming during the depression. He moved to Victoria and worked on the Snowy Mountain Hydro scheme construction.
He was denied access to RSL clubs due to his dark coloured skin! Not all are equal in Australia, as they were in the trenches of France!
