Private Wilfred Henry Lloyd (Service No:N391687) served with the ACMF from 22 May 1942 to 9 December 1943 and was attached to HQ VDC at Discharge.

Born in 1904 in Sydney NSW, Wilfred was the eldest of four children of Frederick Lancelot Lloyd (b1876 in Sydney, NSW) and Catherine Susannah Wheatley (b1877 in Melbourne, Victoria). Frederick (a Warehouseman) and Catherine married in 1901 in Boorowah, NSW and settled in Sydney where they raised their family and Frederick was a Storeman.

Wilfred worked as a Salesman, Car Driver and Clerk and in 1929 in Sydney NSW married Sarah Catherine Forbes (b1906 in St Leonard's, NSW). Wilfred and Sarah lived in Sydney and were in Katoomba in 1942 when Wilfred enlisted in the ACMF - he was unemployed at the time. Following his Discharge in 1943, Wilfred and Sarah settled in Narrabeen where Wilfred was a Fisherman until 1952 when he joined the Public Service as a Linesman. Following his retirement, Wilfred and Sarah settled at Crescent Head in Cowper NSW. Wilfred died in 1983 and Sarah in 1985.
