Private John McIllop Archibald (Service No:VX4566) enlisted in the Australian Army on 1 December 1939. Private Archibald was attached to AASC 6 Division when he Discharged on 3 August 1942 to enlist in the RAN.

On 12 August 1942 Ordinary Seaman Archibald (Service No:PM4856) enlisted in the RAN and served on HMAS Cerberus, Kanimbla and Westralia. Able Seaman Archibald was attached to HMAS Cerberus when he was Discharged on 5 November 1945.

Born in 1913 in Scotland, Jock was a Labourer in Frankston Victoria in 1939. In 1942 he married Agnes (Tubba) Jean Shout (b1920 in Dandenong, Victoria). Jock and Tubba settled in Frankston where Jock worked as a Labourer and House Painter. Jock died in 1994 and Tubba in 2011.
