William Bramwell GAGE was born in Dulwich, London, England in 1895

His parents were John Benjamin GAGE and Agnes WROE who married in England in 1884

He enlisted in Nambour, Queensland on 20th August, 1915 and embarked with the 15th Infantry Battalion, 12th reinforcements on the ship HMAT Suffolk from Sydney

William was Killed in Action in France on 9th August, 1916 - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
