Son of Amor (Alexander) McDONALD and Fanny nee DEAKIN
On 22nd October 1917 at Beceaere, in Belgium, Jim was buried when a shell exploded in the dugout he was resting in. His mates dug him out and he was taken to the 3rd Austrlaian Field Ambulance at Wippenhoek where he died the same day.
Although he was buried there his remains were never recovered and his name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial.
