Next of kin given as his sister Muriel O'Brien of Royal Hotel, Gladstone, QLD

Invalided to Australia on 26 January 1916 aboard HS Kanowna for change he later returned to the front on 2 November 1916.

Commenced return to Australia, second time, on 2 March 1919  aboard HT Derbyshire disembarking on  17 April 1919
