Son of Carl Wilhelm Zillfleisch and Elizabeth  Zillfleisch nee McGovern of Marian, Mackay, QLD.

Commenced return to Australia on 27 July 1917 aboard HT Demosthenes disembarking on 24 September 1917 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane
