Son of William Hay Chivas and Annie Fraser Chivas nee Wallace of Stanley Street, Waverley, NSW

Brother of William Chivas who returned to Australia on 9 September 1919 having served with the NSW Re-inforcements, Elizabeth Ann Chivas, Edwin John Chivas, James Chivas, George Chivas, John Alexand Chivas, Nathaniel Chivas, Maggie Barrie Chivas, Annie Fraser Wallace Chivas, Isabel Smith Chivas and Charles Wallace Chivas

Previously served in the Royal Navy

Commenced return to Australia on 15 May 1919 aboard HT Orontes dismbarking on 1 July 1919

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Husband of Alice Edward Chivas nee Collins. Stanley and Alice were married on 11 January 1919 in the Royal Hotel, Bath Street, St. Machar, Aberdeen, Scotland. Minister Charles H. Todd officiated

In 1967 Stanley was living at Glenbrook, NSW
