Allan Russell Fargie
Allan Russell Fargie born 27 April 1910 North Sydney to Parents John Walter Fargie & Bertha Beatrice Rose he had one elder brother Clyde Walter Fargie his early schooling was at Lane Cove Public School.In 1925-1926 with his brother and parents they attended Berkley High School, Berkley,California, United States Of America as he visited his grandmother who had relocated from New Zealand.
On returning from America in 1928 the family relocated from Sydney to Orange in Central New South Wales.
Along with his brother Clyde & Father they started a carrier business “Fargie & Sons”
In 1936 Allan joined Western Cinemas Art Departments where he met his future wife Ethel Maud Offner and then married on 20 August 1938 when he was 28 years old. They purchased their home in Autumn St. Orange.First and only child was born 28 November 1940 Terrance Clifford Fargie.
Allan at age 31 joined Australian Military Forces in World War 2 from 29 July 1942 until 29 August 1945.
On return to Western Cinemas in which he remained until health declined in 1968 his wife Ethel death in1970 Allan then died 18 Aug 1974.
