Biography

"THE LATE LANCE-CORPORAL W. A. SWITZER.

Lance-Corporal W. A. Switzer was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Switzer, of Hurstville, Sydney. He left Adelaide two years ago, and was in the landing at Gallipoli, where he served until the evacuation. He afterwards went to France, where he was killed in action on July 22. He possessed a bright and genial disposition, and his manliness won for him the highest regard of all who knew him." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 11 Nov 1916 (nla.gov.au)
