Private Wilfred Carlyle Hennessy (Service No:N437307) served in the ACMF from 4 September 1942 to 3 July 1946, and was attached to  the Australian Army Ordnance Corps (AAOC) T/D at Discharge.

Born in 1912 in Sydney NSW, Wilfred was third of four children of Michael Sidney Hennessey (1881 in Orange, NSW) and Amy May Black (b1885 in Dubbo NSW). Michael (a Labourer) and Amy married in 1908 in Dubbo, NSW and lived in Dubbo and Sydney where they raised their family and Michael was a Labourer and Coal Lumper.

Wilfred worked as a Clerk in Sydney, and in 1942 was a Defence Worker when he enlisted in the ACMF. He was a Council Worker in Sydney in 1946 when he married Doris Victoria Payne (nee Truran; b1917 in Fremantle, WA). By 1950 Doris and her daughter had left and returned to Perth, WA and Doris divorced Wilfred in 1955. Wilfred remained in Sydney and worked as a Carpenter. He lived with his mother in Blacktown until her death in 1970. Wilfred died in 1975.
