Gunner Leslie Albert Le Serve (Service Nos:N272429/NX41935) initially served in the Militia (Service No:281664; 26 March 1924 - 20 June 1927). He served in the ACMF (Gunner; Coast Fortress Defences) from 20 June 1941 until he enlisted in the AIF on 5 August 1941. Gunner Le Serve  served in the Middle East (1 November 1941 - 27 February 1943) and Borneo (Tarakan and Morotai; 8 April 1945 - 13 November 1945), and was attached to 2/7 Field Regiment at Discharge on 13 November 1945.

Les was born in Sydney, NSW in 1910, second of six children of Sydney James Broughton Le Serve (b1884 in Sydney, NSW) and Josephine Irene O'Farrell (b1886 in Sydney, NSW). Sydney (a Brass Finisher) and Josephine married in 1907 in Sydney, where they settled and raised their family and Sydney was a Fitter and Turner and Engineer. Sydney served in the AIF in WWI.

Les worked as a Cooper in Sydney, where in 1935 he married Winifred Conn (b1916 in Sydney, NSW) - Winifred was a Milliner. Les and Winifred settled in Sydney, where they raised their family and Les worked as a Cooper. In the early 1970s, Les and Winifred retired to Southport on the Gold Coast in QLD, where Les died in 2008 and Winifred in 2009.
