Eric was the second of three children of Jeremiah (Jerry) Beadon (b1894 in Young, NSW) and Mary Amelia Salisbury (b1906 in Woonona, NSW). Jerry - a Farmer at Marsden, NSW - and Mary married in 1923 in Bulli, NSW. Jerry was a Farmer at Marsden until 1930, when the family moved to Woonona and then to Caragabal in NSW where Jerry was a Council Worker.
Eric was a Mill Labourer in Caragabal in February 1943 when he enlisted in the ACMF. He was a Gunner (Service No:N469748) attached to 33 Battalion VDC when he was Discharged in November that year.
In 1948 Eric - a Rural Worker - married Edna Joan Dixon (b1930 in NSW) in Grenfell, NSW. Eric and Joan lived in Caragabul, Woonona and Calare, NSW where Eric was a Driver and Farm Manager and in the mid 1960s he was a Farmer at Dring, Pullabooka in Calare NSW. Eric died in 1985 and Joan in 2019.
