Harold was the eldest of two children of Robert James Walker (b1866 in Wales, England) and Sarah Elizabeth Church (b1862 in Lancaashire, England), Robert and Sarah married in Melbourne, Victoria in 1891 and raised their family there. Robert was a Hairdresser.
Harold, a Salesman, married Daisy Elizabeth Black (b1893 at Eaglehawk, Bendigo, Victoria) - Daisy was a Nurse. Harold and Daisy settled in Melbourne, where Harold was working as a Salesman when he enlsited with the ACMF in March 1942. He was a Private (Service No:V365542) attached to 4 Battalion VDC when he was Discharged in November 1944. Brother-in-Law William Alexander Black (Service Nos:878/Q8009) served in both Wars and Brother-in-Law William Kitchin (Sergeant; Service No:19608) served in WWI.
Harold and Daisy remained in Melbourne, Victoria where Harold worked as a Salesman. Daisy died in 1969 and Harold in 1976.
