Husband of Margaret May O'Brien nee Stafford of Bective Road, Putney, England. Harold and Margaret married on 26 December 1917 in St. Stephens Church, Wandsworth, London, England. W. Malcolm Graham officiated.

Commenced return to Australia on 24 August 1918 aboard HT Medic disembarking on 30 October 1918
