Claude served in Egypt where he contracted illness (Cardiac Insufficiency) and returned to Australia and was discharged as medically unfit 6 Sepember 1916
FINCH, Claude-July 9, 1948, at R. G. Hospital Concord late of 31st Batt. 1st A I F., dearly loved husband of Theresa (Tess) Finch and fond father of Frank and Leslie aged 49 years.
