Biography contributed by John Edwards

"This morning two young men, Charles Bowen and Harry Jose, residing at Clarence Park, were riding on a motor cycle at North Adelaide, the latter being seated on the carrier or the machine. Jose, fearing a collision with an approaching motor car, jumped off the motor cycle, but slipped and fell right under the wheels of the car, which passed over his head, causing instuntaneous death."from the West Australian 06 Jun 1921 (nla.gov.au)
