Private Stuart Wilson (Service No:V315775) enlisted in the ACMF on 27 February 1942. He was a Private attached to AASC 3rd Division when he Discharged on 15 March 1942 to enlist with the RAAF the next day. Sergeant Stuart Wilson (Service No:52052) was attached to Melbourne Wireless/Telegraphic Station when he was Discharged on 30 November 1945. Older brother Alfred also served in the RAAF in WWII (Service No:4273)

The youngest son of Francis James Wilson (b1881 in Melbourne, Victoria) and Winifred Violet Athorn Crook (b1888 in Melbourne, Victoria), Stuart was born in 1923 in Oakleigh in Melbourne, Victoria. Francis (a Butcher) and Winifred married in 1914 in Melbourne where they settled and raised their family and Francis worked as a Butcher.

An Accounting Student in Melbourne before he enlisted for WWII, Stuart was a Radio Engineer in Melbourne in 1949 when he married Nancy Jill Etheredge (b1929 in Melbourne, Victoria) - Nancy was a  Stenographer. Stuart and Nancy settled in Melbourne, Victoria where they raised their family and Stuart worked as a Radio Engineer. Following Nancy's death in 1978, Stuart remarried to Patricia Julie Buff (nee Fairweather; b1936 in Melbourne, Victoria) and the couple settled in Black Rock, Melbourne. Patricia died in 1988 and Stuart in 2002.
