DEATH FROM WOUNDS.
On Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stevens, of Rawson Avenue, Kogarah, and formerly of Eurunderee, Mudgee, received news of the death of their son, Trooper Roland Clifford Stevens. No particulars  are yet to hand with the exception that the young soldier died from gunshot wounds in the abdomen. The deceased soldier was only 20 years of age last February, and enlisted when only 18 years of  age. He was a fine young lad, and was greatly esteemed by all his friends. A brother, Trooper Herbert Stevens, also enlisted at the same time as the deceased, and the two brothers have been together all the time.
Trooper Herbert Stevens is at present supposed to be in Palestine.
The deceased is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: — Mrs. H. King (Putta Bucca, Mudgee), Mrs. J. Kurtz (Mudgee), Mrs. A. Drayton (Mudgee), Mrs. G. Baily (Mudgee), Mr.
T. Stevens (Bylong), Mr. W. Stevens (Kogarah), Dolly and Albert (Mudgee).
