A Letter Home
Cpl. Fred Brockwell writes to his
parents in Park-street:—"I spent
Christmas leave, five days, with Mrs.
Harris, mother of our naval officer in
Geelong (Warrant Officer Harris), and
his sister. Mrs Graham, and had a
lovely time, far better than my Lon-
don trip. They were kindness itself. I
took some photos., and will send them
on when finished. I will be going to
France in February. I see they have
turned down conscription again. It will
make it all the harder for us, but we
are going to stick it out."'
