Private William Patrick Kevin Adams (Service No:V306272) enlisted in the Army on 26 November 1941 and embarked from Brisbane for Milne Bay on board MT X15 on 7 January 1943. Private Adams served with 32 Employment Coy and was attached to L&T Depot at Discharge on 22 June 1944.

Born in 1922 at Korrumburra Victoria, William was the eldest of three children (two surviving) of William Clarence Lionel Adams (b1896 in Jumbunna, Victoria) and Margaret Katherine Connup (b1897 in Talbotville, Victoria). William Snr (a Coal Miner) and Mary married in 1920 in Melbourne, Victoria and lived at Jumbunna, Korrumburra and in Melbourne before Divorcing in 1934. Mary worked as a Waitress and General Help before remarrying, and William Snr was a casual labourer and Miner.

William was working as a Barman in Melbourne when he enlisted in 1941, and in 1942 married Dorothy Jean North (b1918 in Kerang, Victoria) - Dorothy was a Munitions Worker in Melbourne. Following his Discharge, William and Dorothy settled in Melbourne where they raised their family and William worked as a Labourer, Brewery Employee and Driver. William died in 1991 and Dorothy in 1993.
