DONNELLY, Patrick Henry was born in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia and his address was Blende Street, off Iodide Street, Broken Hill, New South Wales.

He enlisted for the war on 3rd of September 1915 in Adelaide.  His age at enlistment was 26 and his rank on enlistment was Private. His Religion was Roman Catholic and his job before the war was a miner. He was married to Ruth Donnelly.

Donnelly was wounded in action during April 1917 with a gunshot wound and was greated at the 1st Australian Auziallary Hospital in Harefield, England. He took several months to recover and spent time convalescing at depot in England before returning to France in December 1917. He fought with his unit until August when he returned to hospital iwth a sprained ankle

Donnelly returned to Australia on 13 April 1919. He was discharged from the AIF 21st July 1919, and he lived his life until 27th of February 1955 when he passed away.

He embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A28 Miltiades on 7 February 1916 he was in the 10th Battalion, 14th Reinforcement.
