Private Frank Hamilton Lamb (Service No:V352075) served in the ACMF with 6 Battalion VDC from 13 March 1942 to 18 October 1945. His father, William Andrew Lamb, served in WWI (Private; Service No:6050) and WWII (Private; Service No:V24405), and siblings Milton, Max and Jack also served in WWII.

Frank was born in 1916 in Geelong Victoria, fifth of six children of William Andrew Lamb (b1880 in Geelong, Victoria) and Amy Stella Dolphin (b1879 in Chewton, Victoria). William (a Machinist) and Amy married in 1907 and lived in Foster where they raised their family and William worked as a Carrier and Farmer before enlisting in WWI. Following his Discharge, William was granted land at Barrabool under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act 1917 - 1919 and settled there where he and Amy raised their family and William worked as a Farmer and Labourer before retiring to Geelong in the late 1930s.

Frank worked in Geelong as a Costing Clerk (Valley Worsted Mills Ltd) and in 1941 married Phyllis (Betty) Anderson (b1915 in Colac, Victoria). Frank and Betty settled in Geelong where they raised their family and Frank worked as a Clerk and Accountant. Frank died in 1970 and Betty in 2001.
