Bill was the sixth of eight children of William Beeson (b1862 in Victoria Plains, WA) and Catherine Agnes Butler (b1864 in Fremantle, WA). William Snr (a Labourer) and Catherine married in 1882 in Greenough, WA. The couple lived in Greenough, Mt Magnet, Yandanooka and Moonayoonka where William was a Railway Worker, Farm Labourer and Farmer.
Bill lived in Mingenew WA and was working as a Labourer when he enlisted in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W47613) in February 1942. He was atatched to 29 Garrison Battalion VDC when he was Discharged in September 1942.
In 1944 Bill married Minnie Theresa Bywaters (nee Smith; b1900 in Yorkshire, England) in Perth WA. Minnie had emigrated with her parents in 1912, arriving in Fremantle on board the Ajana. She settled in Busselton and was a Widow living in Perth WA in 1943. Bill and Minnie settled in Perth, WA - Bill was not employed. He died in 1960 and Minnie in 1988.
