Corporal Dorothy Avis Perkins (Service No:45477) enlisted in the AWAS on 25 April 1942 and served as a Clerk with 7 Ordnance Depot (Western Command). Corporal Perkins was attached to HQ 7 Australian Advanced Ordnance Depot when she was Discharged on 16 January 1946.

Born in 1924 in Kalgoorlie WA, Dorothy was the eldest child of Roy John Perkins (b1894 in Sebastapol, Victoria) and Cora Grace Ellen Truscott (b1895 in Kadina, South Australia). Roy (an Amalgamator) and Cora married in 1922 in Boulder, Kalgoorlie WA and by 1931 had settled in Leederville, Perth WA where Roy worked as a Pipe Fitter.

Dorothy worked in Leederville as a Photographer, and in 1946 married Alex William Davis (b1918 in Subiaco, Perth, WA) - Alex had served in the RAN (Service No:F3517). Dorothy and Alex settled in Perth where Alex worked as a Fitter/Gas Fitter. Dorothy died in 1984 and Alex in 1988.
