The Reverend Geoffrey Ernest Hamilton Vertigan served as a Minister in the Methodist (later Uniting) Church.
He was a former Chaplain General of the Methodist Churches in the Australian Military Forces during World War Two.
Geoffrey served 1957-1965 in the Belmont Uniting Church (Geelong), and he authored a book "This Temple of Grace", the history of Oxley Road Methodist Church.
