My mother was educated in Sydney NSW and joined the Public Trustee on completion of her education. She joined the WAAAF in search of adventure and travelled across Australia as part of her mustering as a Service Policewoman.
She eventually found her way to RAAF Base Tocumwal and while serving there she met my father Gordon Thomas Bryan who had returned to Tocumwal following three years as a Prisoner of War in Changi.
June Bryan discharged from the WAAAF and settled in Tocumwal to raise a family of two girls. After the untimely death of her husband in 1974, June remained in Tocumwal until 1978 when she moved to live with her daughter Margaret.
June passed away in November 1997.
