June was the third of five children of James Xavier Brady (b1883 in Cobbedah, NSW) and Dorothy Maud Emma Lounds (b1894 in Lincolnshire, England). Following the death of James' first wife, Josephine Cornell (b1888 in Bega, NSW) in 1914, James relocated to Warwick, QLD where he was working as a Contractor in 1916 when he enlisted in the AIF (Private; Service No:456). James and Dorothy (a Chemist's Cashier) married in Lincolnshire in 1917. They settled in Sydney, NSW where James worked as a Carpenter and Joiner.

June was a Typist in Sydney NSW when she enlisted in the RAAF in September 1943. She was a Corporal (Service No:109987) attached to RAAF Station Tocumwal when she was Discharged in January 1946. Returning to Sydney NSW, June was working as a Typist in 1950 when she married Ronald James Ford (b1920 in Sydney, NSW). Ronald - a Coach Painter had also served in the RAAF (Leading Aircraftman; Service No:136574).

June and Ronald settled in Sydney NSW where Ronald worked as a Coach Painter. He died in 1983 and June died in 2016.
