Leading Aircraftman Robert Bruce Good (Service No:449284) enlisted in the RAAF as an Aircraftman I on 10 March 1944 at No 1 Recruiting Centre Melbourne and attended 1 Initial Training School (ITS) - mustered initially as a General Hand and remustered as a Fabric Worker. ACI Good had served with No 3 Squadron Air Training Corps Box Hill since 1941. ACI Good served with No 1 Flying Boat Repair Depot (FBRD) Lake Bega, No 1 (Attack) Squadron and 93 Squadron. He was attached to Survey Squadron Canberra when he was promoted to Leading Aircraftman on 9 February 1947, and at Discharge on 14 January 1948 was attached to Laverton.

Robert was born in 1926 in Melbourne Victoria, second of four children of Robert Bruce Good Snr (b1890 in Kyneton, Victoria) and Heather Jean Gray (b1904 in Kyneton, Victoria). Robert Snr (a War Penioner/Factory Worker) and Heather married in 1924 in Melbourne, Victoria and divorced in 1938 - Heather deserted, leaving Robert Snr with the children. Robert Snr - who had served in WWI - worked sporadically in factories - between treatment at Caulfield Military Hospital - in Bendigo, Taradale, Campbell's Creek, Mordialloc and Aspindale before settling in Melbourne where he was Clerk in 1940 when he enlisted in the ACMF. In 1945 in Melbourne, Robert Snr remarried to Lily Edith Weir (b1904 in Melbourne, Victoria).

Robert was working for Ansett Airways as a Toolmaker's Assistant when he enlisted in the RAAF in 1944. Following his Discharge, Robert settled in Melbourne where he was a Truck Driver in 1949 when he married Margaret Jean Kuhnell (b1932 in Melbourne, Victoria). Robert and Margaret settled in Melbourne where they raised their family and Robert worked as a Truck Driver/Cartage Contractor. Margaret died in 1967 and Robert in 1995.
