Son of William James JORDAN and Eliza Jane JORDAN nee WHALE, Stawell Street, Sale, Victoria
Husband of Maud JORDAN nee WRIGHT
He enlisted in Sale and joined the 37th Battalion.
During the Great War he was gassed and bayoneted.
After returning back to Sale he worked on the railways. After having peritonitis he never worked a full-time job again. He was curator at Sale Baths and at one point was cleaner at Sale State School.
The family moved to Melbourne when his eldest son went there for work.
