Clifton Richmond Joseph PERRY was one of 8 children born to Samuel John and Lucy PERRY, in Parramatta, NSW. 

Clifton married Olive M WOODARD in 1921 in Sydney. 

Clifton served for 4 years as a guard at the German Concentration Camp (GCC) at Holsworthy during WW1, achieving the rank of Corporal (Acting Sergeant) at the time of his discharge.  In February 1942, he put his age down after initially being rejected, to join the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), where his mustering was "Messman" (kitchen assistant).
