Corporal Lucy Florence Mary Wright (Service No:106293) enlisted in the WAAAF on 28 September 1942 at No 2 Recruiting Centre Sydney as an Aircraftwoman I - mustered as Clerk General. Corporal Wright was attached to Air Force HQ (Records) at Discharge on 13 May 1946. Her father served in the Army in both WWI and WWII, and older brother Bill served in the Army in WWII.

Lucy was born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1922, third of four children of William Ellis Wright (b1884 in Sydney, New South Wales) and Lucy Ann Scott (b1886 in Sydney, New South Wales). William (a Storeman) and Lucy Snr married in 1910 in Sydney, where they settled and raised their family and William worked as a Storeman and Motor Driver - and served in the Army in WWI and WWII.

Lucy was working in Sydney as a General Clerk in 1942 when she enlisted in the WAAAF. Following her Discharge, she returned to Sydney and lived with her parents and sister. Lucy worked as a Clerk and Bookkeeper, and died in 2008.
