Daughter of Mr. Frederick FLOWER and May Ellen nee WILLIAMS of 17 Stewart Street, Williamstown, Vic.
She trained at the Austin Hospital Vic. for 3 years.
Maggie served in France and returned to Australia 06 May 1920 per 'Ceramic'
Her appointment was terminated 17 July 1920 and she did not marry.
In 1958 there was a doctor's order for her to be put into custodial care - "Miss Flower, aged 69, was admitted here last October as a case of Senile Psychosis. At this time she was deluded, had auditory hallucinations of a persecutory type, and ws dirty and unkempt. She has been having Largactil 100 qid., since last October, and her hallucinations and delusions have gradually disappeard. However she still has a sever memory defect, and is unable to find her way about the hospital, or remember what day it is. She is quite unfit to look after heself, and unfortunately none of her numerous relatives are willing to care for her, so she is in need of custodial care. " It was found that his condition was due to war service and she was admitted to Larundel Mental Hospital.
