Frank Charles Lloyd was born on the 25th of August 1891 in Magil, South Australia. He lived in Magil SA until moving to 26 Mitchell Street, Goodwood Park, South Australia. He had a wife named Blanche Octavia. He weighed 178 lbs (81kg) and stood at 5’ 8” (172cm) His complexion was fair, his eye colour was blue, and his hair was brown. His religion was the Church of England. His occupation before joining the war was a civil servant.

Before the Great War, Frank Charles Lloyd was the captain of the 74th Infantry Battalion before joining the 32nd Battalion.

Frank Charles Lloyd enlisted with the AIF on 11 August 1915. Lloyd, embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A2 Geelong on 18 November 1915

The 32nd Bn (Headquarters, Signallers, A, B, C, and D Companies) embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on two ships, HMAT A2 'Geelong', on 18 November 1915, and HMAT A13 'Katuna', on 24 November 1915. The Embarkation Roll does not distinguish between these ships, and it is therefore not possible from the Embarkation Roll to ascertain on which ship an individual embarked.

Frank Charles Lloyd was only involved in one battle in World War 1. The Battle of Fromelles. The battle of Fromelles took place in Fromelles France and last between 19 July 1916 – 20 July 1916. Lloyd had a gunshot wound on the first day of the battle (19 July). The bullet went straight through the right side of his chest and out through his back. This landed him at an English hospital named Wandsworth in 18/8/1916. After spending a few months in hospital, he returned back to Australia in 21/11/1916.

Frank Charles Lloyd had pleurisy in 1916-1919 after his gun shot wound in his chest. Pleurisy is inflammation of the sheet-like layers that cover the lungs.[SU1] 

Lloyed returned to Australia disembarked at Melbourne 31/12/16, he was medically unfit for further active service, incapacity at one half. 

After the war frank Charles Enlisted in the Australian Military Forces (Army WW2) and was a Lieutenant Colonel. 

Frank Charles died in South Australia, 17 July 1951, aged 59 years
