Son of Robert Hosie and Helen Hosie nee Lonnie of Jerilderie, NSW

On more that one occasion he had been promoted but each time reverted back to Trooper.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 November 1917 aboard HT Wiltshire disembarking on 20 December 1917 at the 2nd Military District for overland travel to Brisbane

On 8 December 1921 Henry married Ellen O'Connell Burke in QLD
