Leading Aircraftman Neville John Cotter (Service No:139092) enlisted in the RAAF in January 1944 and was attached to Eastern Area HQ when he was Discharged in May 1947.

Born in 1925 at Lake Cargelligo NSW, Neville was the third youngest of ten children of Sydney Alfred Cotter (b1884 in Grenfell, NSW) and Catherine Elizabeth Jennifer Coffee (b1888 in Moama, NSW). Sydney (a Labourer) and Catherine married in 1911 in Parkes, NSW. Sydney worked as a Labourer in Parkes, Condobolin, Ungarie, Bogan Gate, Lake Cargelligo and Tottenham.

Neville worked as a Labourer in Ungarie, NSW and in 1947 in Wagga Wagga NSW he married Elizabeth (Betty) May Hinder (b1925 in Sydney, NSW). Neville and Betty lived in Ungarie where Neville worked as a Labourer before relocating to Wollongong NSW in the mid 1950s. Neville worked as a Guard at Austinmer in Wollongong NSW. Betty died in 1996 and Neville in 2008.
