"...6110 Private Francis Bennett, 10th Battalion, of Kadina, SA. A mason prior to enlisting in June 1916, Pte Bennett embarked from Adelaide on board HMAT Ballarat (A70) on 12 August 1916. Pte Bennett served on the Western Front and was killed in action at Lihon, the Somme, France on 10 August 1918. He was 38 years of age." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
