Aircraftwoman Aline Flint (Service No:111981) enlisted in the WAAF at No 4 Recruiting Centre Perth on 29 February 1944 - mustered as Telegraphist - and was attached to HQ's WA at Discharge on 6 March 1946.
Aline was born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1925, youngest of three children of Alfred (Fred) Burrows Flint (b1887 in Bendigo, Victoria) and Marion Mabel (aka Mabel) Elsegood (b1894 in Fremantle, Western Australia). Fred worked in Kalgoorlie as a Musician from the early 1900s, and in 1914 he and Mabel married in Perth. Fred and Mabel moved to Adelaide (where their eldest son was born in 1915), then on to Sydney, where they raised their family and Fred was a Musician. By 1931 Fred and Mabel had returned to Perth with their family, and Fred was a Musician.
Aline was a Clerk in Perth in 1944 when she enlisted in the WAAF, and following her Discharge was in Perth in 1948 when she married Richard Charles Evans (b1926 in Perth, Western Australia) - Richard was in the RAN (Able Seaman; Service No:F5273). Aline and Richard settled in Perth, where Richard was a Clerk. In the early 1970s, Aline and Richard divorced and Aline remarried in 1975. Aline died in 2023.
