9 Jan 1946:	Wounded Royal Australian Air Force, Leading Aircraftman, 64748, RAAF Telecommunications and Communications Units, Explosion in Milliat Harbour which killed 1 serviceman and wounded 8 serviceman including Lloyd who himself sustained serious injuries including severe penetrating wounds to both eyes and several puncture wounds and lacerations to the face and neck region.
