Dad was Employment in 1949 ish as a Margaret River Dam builder, Number 10 dam just East of the town; he also used the bulldozer to help save Cowaramup from a fire by bulldozing a safety zone to the town.
He stayed at Harry and Dorothy Hawkesford "Waverley farm" in Cowaramup, and met the farmers daughter, married Phoebe at the local now historic church, moved to Perth and had us kids at Mt Yokine in the 1950s.
He played footy for South Melbourne VFL player about 1949. And Swan Districts in Perth, and helped us play in Mundaring Nippers Footy club.
In 1952 he was on the beat in Subiaco as a policeman. He escorted the royal family on their SW tour of WA.
We moved to Stoneville, near Mundaring from 1966 to 76. He was a builder and building inspector, then moved to Rockingham in 1976.
He was also an inventor, and made machines to machine ferrals from brace.
He made a concrete surface technology for smooth stones in brick-mosaics, as the old state Library feature side walls are made of.
He made a gold cone revolving machine to concentrate gold tailings.

He died young, in his 50s from cancer and left us empowered to do many things in our lives, cheers, dad, from Leslie.
