Personal Stories
Avro Lancaster tail gunner
Neville was a tail gunner in the Avro Lancaster during the WW2. He told me a story of how he and his aircrew mates flew to Japan from Townsville to have a look at the damage the Americans nuclear bomb had done to Hiroshima. He never gave much detail about his service years but his Flying log books can be found at the Point Cook Museum (Melbourne, Australia) in 2020.
