Son of William Urquhart and Margaret Urquhart of Cove, Gairloch, Scotland.

William had previously serving with the Royal Navy Reserves for five years.

Commenced return to Australia on 25 January 1919 aboard HT Ceramic disembarking on 14 March 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
