Wartime Marriage

My mother, Jean Burns, was married to John Wilkins Hubble between 1944 & 1953. She told me that they used to take flights out into the bush together to find good picnic spots! I don't know very much about John Wilkins, or why they separated. I can only imagine, though, that being a Group Captain in the Australian Air Force, must have been a full-time job! I don't know whether he re-married or not. After they separated, my mum and grandmother emigrated to the UK. In 1965, she met & married my father, Dr George Passas in London, and re-married. I was born a year later in 1966.
