Daughter of A.J. and Margaret JEMMETT, 58 Saywell Street, Lithgow, NSW

Doris trained at the Lithgow District Hospital training at Crown Street Women's Hospital.and graduated on 30th August 1940.  She had been employed at the District Hospital Lithgow, and was working as a Staff Nurse at R.A.H.C. Collaroy. Described as Tall, dark, pleasant with round face and quite intelligent, she was 'Loyal, of excellent character, throughly reliabel and thorough in her work, and her conduct was above reproach.'  She had theatre experience during training, sutures and sponges and had her General and Obstetric certificates.

Her appointment was terminated with the RAAF on grounds of marriage.
