THY WILL BE DONE
Stanley Rowe was the son of George Robert and Jane Rowe, of Camperdown, New South Wales. His full name was Albert Stanley Rowe but he enlisted and served as Stanley Rowe.
His older brother, 560 Sergeant Oswald Robert Rowe 1st Battalion AIF, died of wounds at Gallipoli on 5 November 1915, aged 24.
Stanley served with the 7th Field Company Engineers for over two and a half years. He was mortally wounded on 1 September 1918 and died of wounds the same day after both his legs were amputated in the 9th Australian Field Ambulance. He was buried in the Suzanne Communal Cemetery. He left a will in favour of his mother, Jane Rowe.
