Lance Corporal Clive Wilson Rose (Service No:WX26689) served in the AIF with 2/11 Infantry Battalion from 21 July 1942 to 23 May 1946.

Clive was the fourth of five children (all sons who served in WWII), born in 1923 in Bunbury WA to Thomas Leopold Rose (b1883 at Parkfield in Australind, WA) and Dorothea Brooks Wilson (b1897 in Guildford, WA). Thomas (a Farmer) and Dorothea married in 1917 in Bunbury, WA and settled at Burekup where they raised their family and Thomas was a Farmer. Thomas was killed in December 1927 when his car was hit by a train on a level crossing, leaving Dorothea a Widow with five sons under nine years of age.

Four years of age when his father died, Clive grew up on the family farm 'Ventonia' at Burekup, where he returned following his Discharge from the Army in 1946. In 1948 in Katanning WA, Clive married Marjorie Deborah Dawson (b1924 in Wagin, WA) - Marjorie served in the RAAF in WWII. Clive and Marjorie lived at Burekup before settling at Roelands nr Harvey WA in the early 1950s, where they raised their family and Clive was a Farmer. Clive died in 1967 and Marjorie in 2012.
